Your Happy, Nourishing Writing Practice
What if your daily writing practice felt like a delicious retreat?
What if you had the creative process skills to sustain an idea all the way through to completion and publication?
Your writing practice can be more consistent and productive—AND more enjoyable, healing, and affirming!
No matter how challenging our subject matter, our writing practice should be our happy place. When we take care of our creative self through ritual, routine, and an understanding of the creative process, we can write from a place of curiosity, joy and love, rather than burning out, guilting ourselves, dreading writing, or feeling like we're always getting exactly nowhere.
If you only write when you feel inspired, yet you have a big vision, then you know the frustrating gap between your habits and the regular care, watering, and feeding your manuscript needs in order to grow into reality. This workshop supports you to develop consistent intrinsic motivation for showing up to your writing, along with a creative process skillset for successfully utilizing that motivation to craft a meaningful story. If you love to write but struggle to get what's inside onto the page, if you have many beginnings or ideas but no finished product, or if you're feeling stressed or joyless in the middle of your big writing project, please join us!
This supportive workshop is for you if your writing is:
• Going in circles
• Scattered, overwhelming, or stuck
• A chore rather than a joy
• Pushed aside when life gets busy or stressful
• Inconsistent, pressured, or draining
• Shut down by your inner critic
• Longing to go deeper, but you're not sure how to do so in a way that is emotionally healthy and safe
This workshop supports you to create a writing practice that is:
• Mature and intuitive
• Consistent, authentic, and inspired
• Full of joy, self-compassion, and trust in the process
A nourishing writing practice helps you:
• Reduce procrastination and maintain creative flow
• Take pleasure in the creative process
• Create your most resonant writing
• Feel motivated without relying on the stress of deadlines
• Finish your writing projects
• Make an impact through your writing
